Lady with Lapdog

Rings

Skill level: intermediate

Toolbox:
• 28 dark blue crystals (size 6/0)
• 16 golden or pearl faceted beads
• 1 golden round faceted bead (size 3/0 to 2/0)
• Golden seed beads
• Nylon thread (size B)
• Beading needle

Step 1 (base). Place four faceted beads and four seed beads in the middle of 32 inches long piece of thread (interchange the beads). Cross the threads inside the last seed bead. Add one faceted bead to one end of the thread. Add three faceted beads and three seed beads to the other end of the thread, interchanging the beads. And again cross the thread ends inside the last seed bead. Continue working according to the drawing.

Step 2 (flowered pattern). Make the patterns, using the same drawing as it was for step 2 of `Lady with Lapdog` pendant project. To accomplish, pull one thread through the faceted bead at the inner side of the base. You will find the thread ends coming out of the different sides of the bead.

Step 3 (central pattern and ring). To make the central pattern, add two seed beads with a large round bead between them to each thread and cross the threads inside the neighboring faceted bead. Then pull the thread ends through the faceted beads on both sides of the pattern. The thread ends should be coming out of the marginal seed beads.

To make the ring, add four seed beads to each thread and cross the thread ends inside the last seed bead on both sides. Make eight or nine chain sets depending on the finger size. Close the ring on the other side of the pattern, pulling each thread through the seed beads and the faceted beads of the marginal flower edge. Tie the threads at the reverse side. Secure them and cut off the tails.
