Light-Pink Ring



Skill level: advanced

Toolbox:
• Pale-pink pearl seed beads
• 5 clear crystals (size 5/0)
• 10 clear crystals (size 6/0)
• Nylon thread (size B)

Step 1 (light-pink ring). Cut 40 inches long piece of thread. Make a base for the pattern according to step 1 of `Sweet Dreams` earrings project. Use five clear crystals, five pearl seed beads, one clear crystal and five more seed beads.

Step 2. Make a flower on the base: pull the thread through the seed beads of the ring and of the base, adding a clear crystal between them (see the drawing).

Step 3. Turn your work sideways and circle it with the clear crystals. Add one crystal, one seed bead, one more crystal and five seed beads to one end of the thread. Back the thread into the first two of five seed beads and you will get a small flower. Add a crystal to the other end of the thread and pull the thread through the first seed bead of the small flower. Then add one more crystal and pull the thread through a seed bead of the base. And again back the thread into the crystal and into the neighboring seed bead of the flower. Put the threads together and add a crystal there. Make three more patterns of the same kind. To make the last pattern, thread two seed beads and pull the thread through first bead of the circle. Then add two more seed beads. The thread should be coming out of the first seed bead of the last small flower. Bring the other thread through a seed bead of the small flower. Thread one crystal and pull the thread through a seed bead of the base. Back the thread into the crystal. The other thread should be emerging from the seed beads of the small flower. Put the thread ends together.




Step 4 (ring). After putting the thread ends together, thread one fuchsia-colored crystal and some seed beads to make the ring. Add one crystal and one more seed bead when the length is next to sufficient. Then add a crystal to one end of the thread. Close the ring, pulling the thread through three beads of the pattern. Thread the last crystal. Check the ring size and tie the thread ends together. Cut off the tails.
