Rosette Necklace
Skill level: intermediate Toolbox: • An artificial pearl (size 5/0) • 15 light-pink, 12 light-brown and 14 light-green crystals (size 6/0) • White pearl seed beads • Beige pearl seed beads • Light-pink faceted bead (size 3/0) • Light-brown crystal drop • A thin ring in mock antique metal • 2 crimps • Nylon thread (size B and size D) • Crimp pliers and round nose pliers • Beading needle (if you wish) Step 1. Insert a ring into a white seed bead and close the ring thoroughly. Cut 20 inches long thread, size B, and place a white seed bead in the middle of it. Then add beads, seed beads and the ring with a bead according to the drawing. Cross the tails inside the first bead and you’ll get the ring.
Step 2. Turn the ring you’ve got sideways. Pull the thread that is closer to you top-down then once more in reverse order. Leave this thread end free. Turn the ring and repeat the same combination for the other end of the thread.
Step 3. Bring one thread end through the central bead of the upper flower. Tie three knots and pull the thread ends through several beads except the upper one.
Step 4 (accent charm). Bend the core tip into a hook with the help of round nose pliers and attach a crystal drop to it. Make an accent charm and link it to the rosette metal ring.
Step 5 (to build the necklace). Cut 30 inches long thread, size D. Pull the half of the thread through the central bead of the upper flower. Then follow the drawing. Bring eight crystals in different colors down each tail. Don’t forget to interchange the crystals. Specify the necklace length and start making a clasp.
